CCMA is the national association for Catholic campus ministers who serve at Catholic and non-Catholic colleges and universities.
CCMA Mission Statement
The Catholic Campus Ministry Association provides visionary leadership, formation and resources that empower Catholic campus ministers and the broader Church to become transforming instruments of Christ for the academic community and the world.
CCMA Vision Statement
CCMA aspires to excellence in leadership, programs and resources for Catholic campus ministers and the Church so that:
- All Catholics in higher education will have rich and abundant opportunities for personal, spiritual and theological growth.
- All involved in Catholic campus ministry will embrace and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ on campus, in the Church and throughout the world.
- All who participate in Catholic campus ministry will be formed and empowered to take their places as leader in the Church.
- The academic community will welcome the Catholic Intellectual Tradition as an indispensable partner in the search for truth and wisdom.

The Catholic Campus Ministry Association is the national organization for Catholic campus ministers dedicated to the vision of campus ministry outlined in the 1985 U.S. Catholic Bishops’ Pastoral Letter, Empowered By The Spirit: Campus Ministry Faces the Future.
Through a national network aided by publications, national gatherings, electronic communications, educational programs and other means of sharing resources, CCMA fosters the professional, spiritual and theological growth of campus ministers and promotes the mission of the Catholic Church in higher education.
Approximately 60 percent of the nation’s 1,700 Catholic campus ministers are CCMA members. CCMA members minister in a variety of settings, many of which include campus ministry departments at Catholic institutions, Newman Centers at public institutions and campus ministry departments at non-Catholic, private institutions.
Regular membership in CCMA for campus ministers is still $125. Benefits members receive include: subscriptions to Crossroads newsletter and the Catholic Campus Ministry Directory; ability to receive professional certification through the USCCB Commission on Certification and Accreditation; national conventions, conferences and retreats; specialized institutes and educational opportunities; CCMA-L, a members-only online electronic discussion group and more.
