Catholic Coalition for Climate Change
CCMA has recently formed a subcommittee for climate change based on a grant received by the USCCB’s Catholic Coalition for Climate Change (CCCC.) The CCCC is an organization seeking to raise climate change awareness in Catholics throughout the nation on all college and university campuses. CCCC’s Executive Director, Dan Misleh, states that, “Catholic teaching on climate change embraces the principles of prudence, poverty and the common good. These three principles form the foundation of our work.”
The subcommittee is seeking best practices in environmental and climate change programs on campus already in place or that will be instilled on campus this year. Let us know what your campus and students are going to become more “green”! Please email your best practices to CCMA’s Member Services intern, David Sandmann at sandmanndr@gmail.com. For more information on CCCC and activities that you may adapt to your campus, please visit their website at http://www.catholicsandclimatechange.org. Let’s get green!
